[Ti] G4 Grey Screen - replace motherboard or screen?

That sounds like the backlight has died on your screen. You can  
either work with it as the world's thinnest desktop or find somewhere  
to replace the screen. you could try powerbookresq, they fixed the  
hinges on my Ti when they broke, but i'm not sure if that's something  
they do.
