[Ti] MacBooks - why the lack of a built in scroll ball?

You may be right that they have learnt from experience, since the  
first Tibook got marks on the screen from just the keyboard. But to  
be honest it sound like a bad design to add any sort of wheel on top  
of all the "sensible little goodies below". They are not likely to be  
able to leave an unused area under the wheel which they need to do  
since it will accumulate all sorts of small dust and skin residues*)  
which can only be cleaned away very occationally.

*) I can sence that residue isn't the right word just there but I  
think you will understand since I cant find any better one at this  
late hour in Sweden. :-)
