Let's put it this way;  You compare mediocre to bottom of the barrel  
and it makes mediocre look good.  Compare it to a few F-1 machines  
and suddenly the tables are turned.  The LaCie d2's use junk WD  
drives.  When you start comparing them to the best of the best,  
they're slow and overpriced.

IMHO.
