Upon opening iphoto 5 I presently get a blank gray page with no
photos, but the albums are all listed with "no photos" as the content
at the bottom of the page.
Prior to this I would get a gray page with albums listed ,but with
rectangular "place holders" where photos used to be. I think the
number of photos -was -shown at the bottom - something like 4000 +
,hard to believe but it is so.
Add to library (command O) initially opened a folder as rescued photos
( or something like that), but that has disappeared.
A current iphoto library is intact on a backup HD, but they cannot be
imported into the iphoto browser.
On a partition of the external HD I have an older iphoto library which
is not up to date as the back up is.
As far as odd behaviors go, during 2 attempted uploads before the
blank pages happened I was having trouble importing some photos from
my camera (nikon D70) into iphoto. This is odd because the photos
would show up as a volume on the main HD,and I could go into the
folders and open them in Apple Picture Viewer, or Photoshop.
I've repaired permissions and run Disk Warrior.
This is a major pain because iphoto is my "working data base."
Any ideas -thoughts or anything - is appreciated.
