[Ti] Mail program keeps asking for passwords

I am using 10.4.11 on a Quicksilver.  For the past few months, the  
mail program repeatedly asks for password for each mailbox.  I input  
the correct passwords, asking it to place them in keychain and the  
next day, or a few hours later, it ask for the passwords again.  This  
is frustrating.   I have rebuilt the keychain, corrected permissions  
and rebuilt my directory.  Mail still keeps asking me for passwords.
