Only panic occurred when I tried to dismount a SMB drive whose computer I had turned off without remembering the drive was mounted elsewhere. I disregarded the Win98 message about the shared disk and returned to the Pismo only to find that trying to dismount the drive was not a good thing. All in all, a most stable OS in my VERY long experience with PCs. --Carlos
