Palm Synch/Install Failure

Good Afternoon:

Upon buying a new Mac G4, I moved my Palm OS from my old computer 
(Beige G4/OSX 10.2.8) to my new one. The Palm Desktop works, but I get 
errors when I try to launch HotSynch Manager (unable to synch) I get an 
error:

Application HotSynchManager could not be launched bacause of a shared 
librabry error: "4<HotSynch Manager><HotSynch 
Manager><HotSynchLib.PPC><>

I tried to reinstall the Palm OS to set my system again, and I get 
errors that say the install was not completed did I want to Quit or 
retry.
Never completes.
Any ideas what is wrong?
