I don't understand the requirement.  You're using IPX to talk to Novell 
servers (or devices emulating such).  That isn't changed by going to OS 
X.  Can't they run AppleTalk over IP, or whatever it's called, on the 
current machines?  IOW, I don't see how going to OS X affects your 
network protocols at all.
