You can remove the app by tossing it in the Trash. It is possible that there are other files in places like /Library/Application Support, or files in your Home directory. It depends on the app. But there is no special uninstall procedure to follow, except for those apps which install startup items. In such cases, their installers may be able to uninstall everything.
