I think that Apple's advertising folks have resisted this idea for the same reason that they don't advertise an Airline's safety record...One well-publicized crash (or, in the case of the Macintosh, one nasty virus) and that company would be devistated perceptually in the minds of customers. Though there are currently no OS X-specific viruses, I've spoken with some Macintosh programmers that I respect, and they seem to feel that writing one would be trivially easy for someone with the ability to program for the Mac. It is probably only a matter of time before we see one. In fact, it is amazing that OS X has gone this long without any viruses. Randy B.
