That would make a difference. You might want to look at the list of 
supported printers at GimpPrint. Down at the bottom of the list they 
show most of HP's models and the drivers that might work with those 
models. You can try those drivers and see if you have any success while 
waiting for HP to develop an OS X driver. If the driver works, you may 
find only some of the functionality of a specific driver; however, 
depending on your needs, that limited functionality might be better 
than nothing.
