[X Newbies] Can OS 9 address book be imported into Mail?

This might work...

Launch /Applications/Applescript/ScriptMenu.menu. It will put a script 
icon in your menu bar, similar to the display, volume and airport menu 
bar icons.
In this new menu, you'll find a number of items. In the Mail section of 
the menu, there is a choice for "Import Addresses". Choose that, then 
choose the application.
