The original person was asking about adding/removing fonts in the
"system library fonts folder".  In that context, I and most other folks
who responded assumed /System/Library/Fonts, which many of us suggested
not to modify.  But I could be wrong.

The fonts in /System/Library/Fonts are used by OS X.  Modifying those
fonts may mess up any or all the GUI elements.  The idea of the /System
folder is to have a safe place where the core bits of OS X could reside
without users mucking it up.
