That's correct, no DVD+R the DVR-R "HAS" to state " for GENERAL use 
drives only"
as far  as adding,  to a DVD,  to  my knowledge it can't be done as on 
a non finalized CD
unless you are using DVD-RW which I  don't think works in the Super 
drive.
