Read the original message more carefully, Jerry. David is working on 
10.1.5, where Disk Utility does not Repair Permissions (that's in 
Jaguar); and he's talking about the Verify Disk and Repair Disk buttons.

Moreover, the quote was from Disk Utility's First Aid panel. You can 
read it yourself whenever you want. Try it sometimes.
