[X Newbies] Disk first aid button grayed out

If the 18.63 GB IBM hard drive is the only thing in the list, then you 
started up your iBook from that 18.63 GB IBM hard drive. If you had 
started from CD, then the CD would also show in the list.

You must start the iBook from an OS X installation CD in order to 
repair that 18.63 GB IBM hard drive.
