I said FaxSTF is not part of Mac OS X. As I understand your problem, 
TextEdit was crashing when trying to 'print' to FaxSTF. If so, this 
isn't the first time I've heard of it, and it is a problem with FaxSTF.

Of course, if you don't like TextEdit, use AW or something else.
