Options for transferring files?

Good evening,
	I am not sure if this has been posted before, but couldn't 
find anything in the archives.  I have been a long time windows user 
who recently switched to a powerbook.  Both computers are connected 
through my airport extreme base station..the powerbook is connected 
wirelessly and the pc is hard connected.  I was wondering the best 
and easiest way to transfer files between the two, especially my mp3 
files.  I have read how to make a "shared folder" on the windows xp 
pro pc and I have seen how to turn on file sharing on my powerbook 
using 10.2.6, but I must be missing something because I can't see 
either machine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
