The key is the format of the disk. There are ways to burn JPG pictures 
on a DVD so that a player can show it, but it won't work unless the DVD 
is in the format that a DVD player expects. If you just drag JPG files 
to the DVD and burn it in the finder, then it won't work on a DVD 
player.
