[X Newbies] Garage Band/A-OK

Alrighty, the GarageBand dilemma, as well as other problems, was solved 
by the system having had its 'blessed' folders restored for that user.

I deleted an older user folder, (that is what I suspected it was) and 
now just the one user is present as it should be with the 'short name' 
and all folders back where they should be.
All updates were done, and maintenance set to run on schedule.

He is good to go..
