Yes, 10.3 gives a nice "Disconnect from no longer accessible server?"
box, and no longer chokes (this used to happen all the time with my
PowerBook when I moved from work to home.

Subject: [X Newbies] OSX chokes after disconnect from another computer

Is this a known bug in OSX? If I connect to another computer (via SMB)
running XP or Win2kPro and one of those computer(s) that's on my
desktop shuts down without notice, if I click on its icon after its
shut down, OSX chokes with the pizza wheel of death and then goes blank
with a grey screen (am I allowed run-on sentences?). Not a graceful way
for OSX to state - hey, I thought that computer was still active!

Does OS 10.3 fix this problem?
