unable to delete files

I have an interesting problem.  I connect to a smb share on a windows NT
4.0 server.  When I authenticate I do so with an administor level
account.  However,  there are some folders I can not delete.  but when I
connect to that same share from a windows machine I can delete the files
and folders fine.  All the permissions show read write from the mac.

Any ideas what could cause this.

I am running OS X.3.4
