[X-Newbies] Removing accounts

Hi all,

I purposely deleted an account on my machine (X 10.3.5) and it tells me
(can't remember the exact words) that it has been archived somewhere on
the machine.

If this is so it must be taking up space.  Can anyone tell me how to
remove an account in its entirety, even if this means hunting down the
files and manually removing them?
