What you did not see David, is that X does not work like say OE,  
where you can ignore all, click learn or correct. In X in Mail you  
must bother to change the field before the learn button becomes  
active... Try to understand that EVERYTHING is different in X, can't  
have anything that is from the past even though it worked really  
well....
