Bonjour,

By dragging an object from the sidebar, you are removing it from the
sidebar. To copy the object itself to another location, first click the icon
in the sidebar, which opens its contents in the window, then drag the
"proxy" icon in the window's title bar to where you want it.

You can restore the Network icon by switching to the Finder, opening Finder
Preferences, clicking the Sidebar tab and checking the "Network" box.
