Now, how do I set about totally eliminating all of the Norton stuff. I've a feeling that it may well have hidden bits that I need to know about. And reading between the lines of the various replies, perhaps Norton has something to do with a certain proneness to finder crashing I'm experiencing lately when opening newly downloaded files. Tony.
