[X-Newbies] Top posing in mail?

Oh my, half a day has gone by and nary a response!  Has this rapid 
firing and entertaining thread suddenly died a Transmanian Death?  
Pity.  Let's not let that happen!

As for myself, I top post, I bottom post, and I interleave in these 
lists and my more private correspondence, depending entirely on the 
topic, context, and situation.  I decide in each and every case.

Conveniently, making this reply is very simple.  I subscribe to this 
list in feed mode, only because in digest mode I sometimes had to wait 
days for an X-Newbies digest to reveal itself.  In other lists that 
issue digests at least once a day, even for one message, replying to a 
specific item is less convenient; a reply requires some extra 
formatting chores to handle the subject line and the attribution at the 
beginning of text.  And sometimes I have to cut/paste to relocate my 
signature.  I suspect Jamie and a few others here would not care to go 
that route.
