The long answer is, unless you have an unusual system (say, a bunch of machines doing a pre-press workflow, or a server, etc.) then you should just update and not spend too much time hand-wringing about each one that comes along. Generally, they fix a variety of little problems, and don't break anything that the average user would be doing. You can always find someone who had some obscure problem with an update, but generally waiting is not going to make that issue go away. You're always going to hear from a vast majority of people who say "no problem" and a few that have issues. If you have a specific piece of key software to check on (say, a particular version of InDesign, Quark, Maya, Final Cut etc. and you can ask within a user community where there are a substantial number of people with comparable software, then you might get some useful feedback. Otherwise, when a person says they do or don't have problems, it really doesn't mean anything w/r to whether you should upgrade or not. SR
