[X-Newbies] Digest mode bug in Mail

Reading a series of digest emails used to start at the top of each  
digest. That is, until the last (more recent) one in the mailbox.  
That one would open at the bottom of the email. A bug I figured.

Just upgraded to the latest security upgrade and now every digest  
email after the first one starts at the bottom.

In other words, say there are 5 digests in my After Effects mailbox.  
The most recent date is at the top of the list.  I open the earliest  
one (the bottom one) first. It opens at the head. I read to the end  
of that digest, delete, and the next digest opens but at the bottom  
of the digest. And so on through all 5 digests.

Is there a pref that I am overlooking?
