[X-Newbies] Password protection when exiting screen saver.

I have set my G5, running Tiger to require a password (security panel)
when exiting screen saver. Now all of a sudden, it no longer seems to
work. This occurred after I made some changes in the items that open
automatically when I log in. I have tried resetting the password
requirement by clicking and unclicking the check box, but nothing
seems to help. What gives? Anyone have any ideas?
