[X-Newbies] Transferring browser favorites from os 9 to os X?

Dear Reader,

My buddy bought an Imac G5. He had an Imac G3 which has a bad logic
board and cd rom. I have his hard drive from his bad Imac G3 now running
in a good beige G3.

I'd like to know the easiest way to transfer his OS 9 version Internet
Explorer  browser favorites to the Tiger's browser in the G5. (I do not
use any version of OS X, that's why I said Tiger's browser. (Safari, is
that it?) )

ps I have a USB floppy which perhaps the G5 could use ?? and a CD burner
in the beige g3.
