[X-Newbies] Booting Linux CD on PowerBook G3.

I just purchased an old PowerBook G3 to replace my PB 1400 cs. I was
thinking of installing Ubuntu or Debian, but I can't seem to boot the
CD's on the G3. They work fine on my G5. All I have to do is to hold
down the "C" key on my keyboard. Was there another way of doing this
on a PB G3 running Jaguar?
