[X-Newbies] Tiger Update from Panther

Tiger is better in every way, particularly with respect to security, except
one: It tends to break a lot of older programs which worked perfectly well
with Panther.

If you don't need to spend a bunch of cash on collateral upgrades, I would
definitely recommend it.
