[X-Newbies] Changing color of Date and Time menu bar display.

Is it possible to change the color of the Date and Time menu bar
display? This used to be a feature in OS 9, if I remember correctly. I
have been using iClock, but stopped because I wasn't using the various
features very much and the menu bar icon display sometimes got buggy.
I would however, like to still be able to change the color of the Date
and Time menu bar display
