[X-Newbies] Unable to save messages in Mail.app.

Happy New Year to all.

My first problem of the new year is that on my newly installed Tiger
system (clean install), I keep getting an error message from Mail.app
saying:

"Error: The message could not be saved"

Is this a known issue? All of my e-mail accounts are IMAP and I am
using Mail.app Version 2.1 (752/752.2) with OS X 10.4.8. I don't
remember this happening with Mail.app and my old install of Tiger.
