[X-Newbies] Problems burning DVDs on G5 single.

I am trying to burn a TechTool Pro DVD that I purchased in connection
with the current MacUpdate promo package deal. I have tried burning
the image with Toast Titanium 8 with Tiger (OS X 10.4.10), but when
verifying the DVD, an error appears about a "bad sector". I have
earlier tried to burn DVDs with Liquid CD, with similar results. I
have yet to burn a successful DVD, but have no problems burning CDs on
my G5 single (PPC).

The TechTool Pro DVD loads fine in the Finder, so I am sure that the
download functioned properly and that I have the full image file.
Soooooo does anyone know what to do to solve this problem??
