[X-Newbies] A Windows Problem

I am fluent with OS X and have few problems but also have an old Hewlet Packard with Windows 2000 on it. I can't do very basic things on it so can be regarded as a novice. Consequently I cannot tonight install a program on it, so got it wrong so then couldn't uninstall it properly and now I am stuck.

Does anyone know of an equivalent forum to X-Newbies, but for Windows out there on the web that you can recommend?
