For everyone out there a word of caution. It is possible to get great service for very little money a month, but you need to be aware of some of the problems, some of which are good and some of which are catastrophic and best illustrated by my experience with 3 hosting providers:

2Buckwebs.com
They started out for me as an attentive, helpful small company. I loved the personal and excellent service but one day I had a problem and discovered they no longer reply to any e-mails and effectively no longer exist. The two sites with them are still up but I presume that will only last until the paid for period ends. Some companies when they disappear just remove your sites without warning so perhaps I am lucky.

Dot5hosting
Seem great, have lots of recommendations but I cancelled my service with them when I discovered that their support service consistently misunderstood my questions and their billing department also would get things wrong. Frustrating.

SurfSpeedy.com
I have a half dozen sites with these guys and their service has been consistently great for 3 years now. They are affordable yet fabulous and highly recommended. Their service is better than most expensive hosting options that I am aware of.
