Are you saying he did not give you the original install discs, which
had Tiger on them? Because if that's the case, he not only ripped YOU
off, he broke the law doing it.

Under the Apple Menu is System Preferences. In System Preferences
(think Control Panel), there is a section on Classic. If there is a
valid OS 9 folder on your system, it will show up in the list. If
not, you can install OS 9.2 or higher as you would normally -- just
don't erase the drive!

PS. Wean yourself off those OS 9 programs *fast.*

I do, so I would say yes. :)

HOWEVER, be sure that NOTHING but apps is in the Applications
folder. Very important.

You do not need the firewall. Period, end of sentence. Don't bother
with it, don't turn it on. If you really feel you need a "firewall"
for DDoS attacks, buy a router. It has a (far superior) automatic
hardware firewall already in it.

Since you mention you have an iBook G4, nothing could be simpler:

1. Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Printing and Fax
2. Turn on Faxing. Follow the instructions. Check the Help file if
you need help.
3. When you want to fax, activate the Print dialog box and look where
it says "PDF." Under those options you can fax (instead of print) the
document.

Cheers
Chas
