[X-Unix] Start, re-start? again & again?

I've tried to just re-install a new OS, but it doesn't see the drive? 
Which means I can't reformat or anything.

Sure sounds like I'm headed to the local Staples to buy a drive.

What if I hook my external 160 GB drive (after installing the OS on it, 
it should start from that… right? Then maybe it would see the other 
drive? At which time, I could take the files off…
