printing question.

Hello,

I just connected an old (working) HP 812C Deskjet to my ibook (10.2.8) 
via usb.

No problem printing test page from PrintCenter and Word - or text and 
pdf files via lpr from commandline.
I use a2ps to print 2up from network printer - works fine.

THE PROBLEM:  I can have a2ps print to a file (postscript) - and view 
and print that file from MacGhostview.  HOWEVER, I can't print that 
file via lpr from the commandline - or directly using a2ps (print to 
default printer instead of file) - PrintCenter shows no activity.  My 
guess is that I need to do something to have the printer recognize the 
postscript file.

What have I missed?
