"Initializing Network" - pause at boot time...

does anyone know where OS X memorizes old hosts?

my aunt's machine (used to be in a network at a graphics firm) always
hangs for two minutes when booting x.2.8 ...

i think somewhere os x still thinks it is connected to the old
network...

where does os x cache old hosts?

there's gotta be a file somewhere that i can just delete.

i remember solving this one like two years ago, but i can not remember
how.

thanks
