what do you mean by 'native' unix?

X11 works great for many apps...

fink is a great tool for finding/building them...

some apps even have the binaries already made...

i liked x11 under jaguar better, but i'm sure many like x11 under 
panther better...

in short - probably yes.

although you may need to work out some dependencies and porting issues.
