That is not the point. Deleting their posts in a POP configuration doesn't stop their idiotic attachments from wasting my time.

They are sending attachments that show up as independent files both on my OS 9 computer and my OSX computer.

I'm surprised you haven't noticed.

I don't want the crap. The list shouldn't permit attachments to be sent.

The posters may have wonderful things to say, but they should not send, and should not be permitted to distribute their PGP sig/data files. In fact, if Phil still lived across the street from me here, I'd go over and ask him to tell the idiots how to behave as PGP users -- he wrote the original program.

There is no sensible argument to the contrary. PGP files should be included WITHIN the message.

I get about 500 email messages per day. Until now, I have NEVER, to my knowledge, gotten attachments from this list.

It is not acceptable, and the people who insist on doing so should be dismissed or educated on how it works.
