[X-Unix] Word documents in Tiger's Preview?

In the Spotlight video demo here:

     http://www.apple.com/es/macosx/tiger/spotlight.html

There's a group called "PDF Documents" at the bottom of the search 
results for "Yosemite", some have a ".pdf" extension and some don't. 
The demo detaches the result set, goes on, and at some point selects 
one of those files without extension. Preview is launched, and the 
title bar shows "Microsoft Word - 05HalfDolmentin.doc (4 pages)".
