Sometime in August Eric F Crist assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| The solution I'm looking for is one where I don't need to perform any
| configuration changes to the client machine, only modify the URL
| within the browser.
|
| Is there a way to do this with squid? Perhaps some sort of web-
| interface?

It's not as straight forward, but I think you could couple a cgi script
with squid to accomplish this. The script could take whatever url you
specify in your form variable, use something like LWP (in the case of perl)
to fetch the web page through your proxy, and push the result to the
screen. If you look around there may be something like this already.
