There are no less then 10 reasons that folks are talking about, here are 
a few

Pending lawsuits… leaks on new stuff
Cost for free free… It will be available for view tonight.
Not as much new stuff, as all of the rumors have suggested… Steve 
doesn't want to disapoint live…
No benefit for Apple - on a live feed?
