[X-Unix] Trashed Receipts (was: X11 issues)

Interestingly, receipts are "normally" installed in /Library/Receipts, not
in /System/Library/ or in ~/Library/. BTW, why would delete any receipts?
AFAIK, those are needed by Disk Utility to verify/repair permissions.
Curious minds (mine, actually) want to know your rationale for this action.
