[X-Unix] (Apple) Address Book LDAP schema

A couple of times I've had a look at LDAP with respect to Apple's  
Address Book app. For many of my clients, this would be a powerful  
little combination - but I've yet to find a good schema which'll  
support all of Address Book's features. Can anyone help out here?  
I've looked around the web, Googled a bit, and just found lots of  
people asking for the same sort of thing.

BTW, I'm avoiding Mac OS Server - so any references to it are a bit  
pointless from my perspective.

Any and all pointers welcome.
