Zip files were only recently handled *natively* by Windows (XP, and  
maybe ME).

Anything else has a high probability of NOT being useful by a Windows  
user who receives it, and I would encourage you to use zip for  
maximum compatibility.

tar.gz or tar.bz may be better compression, but you'll spend more  
time hand-holding if you have non-techies on the receiving end.
